real estate, torts, wills and estates, class actions, and restructuring and insolvency. Recent Experience Representation
of a major regional investment firm based in Hong Kong in several court
disputes with a co-investor over control of Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket. Representation
at the Thai
Arbitration Institute (TAI) for English language proceedings on behalf of a major
Chinese hotel and hospitality company in a construction dispute against a contractor
based on an FIDIC contract. Representation of well-known Korean
automobile manufacturer by providing effective defense strategies in a dispute
over an agreement with a local dealer. Representation
of
Acumen (previous major shareholder of Triple T Broadband) in several
class action lawsuits by unauthorized TT&T shareholders. The disputes were
spread out over several courts in the greater Bangkok area. We gained
successful court judgements in defense of all class actions thanks to our
thorough arguments. Advised an
internationally known industrial gas company on pre-dispute strategy,
possible legal actions, and preventive measures in relation to a long-term
joint venture. Representation
of a Chinese state-owned construction company in a construction dispute
against local land developers. Representation
of
Ritta Company Limited, a well-known Thai contractor, in a construction
dispute against a major hotel and hospitality company at the Thai Arbitration
Institute (TAI). Representation of Mr. Tony Jaa, a well-known Thai
martial arts actor, in defending and filing counterclaims in a dispute with a major
Thai filmmaker regarding his long-term contracts, including the successful
revocation of an injunction order in the release of Fast & Furious 7. Representation of a major Thai
insurance company and its shareholders in a USD 9 million shareholder
dispute with potential foreign investors under the Singapore International
Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Arbitration Rules. The dispute was settled before
trial. Representation of EthosEnergy (Thailand) Limited on
the successful enforcement in Thailand of an arbitral award issued by the
London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). Representation
of Triple T Broadband Public Company Limited in connection with the
rehabilitation of TT&T Public Company Limited, where we received a
successful judgment at the Central Bankruptcy Court against their claim for more
than THB 1,000 million in compensation. Representation of a major Japanese insurance company against
a famous US automobile manufacturer who was seeking USD 41 million in compensation
for flood damage in a complex dispute arising from the 2011 floods. Advised
the world’s largest commercial airplane
manufacturer on local law compliance, pre-litigation dispute resolution,
and regulatory filings. Representation of Big C Supercenter Public Company
Limited in criminal and civil litigation arising from a franchise
agreement. Representation of AIA in the defense of multiple
cases related to a popular TMAE life insurance policy held by tens of thousands
of customers. These cases set precedents for consumer protection as well as the
insurance industry and law within Thailand. Representation of Ananda Development Co., Ltd. in
litigation over a dispute with the juristic person of a condominium.
Representation of Mitsubishi Motors in arbitration
proceedings under TAI Rules for a breach of contract dispute between Mitsubishi
